Toddler Meals and Snack Tray Ideas
Check out the most recent breakfast and lunch I packed for my toddler! I like to use leftovers whenever possible to make a healthy meal easier for busy working days.
Breakfast: A Nutritious Start
We kicked off our morning with a nutritious and kid-approved breakfast. My toddler enjoyed a bowl of Magic Spoon cereal, which has become a staple in our household. It’s a delicious option that packs a punch of protein without excess sugar. A banana usually makes its way into the car with us for an on the go option.
Lunch: A Colorful Medley
For lunch we had some leftovers and some fruits and veggies. I got the star shaped crackers from Trader Joe’s and they’re sweeter than I thought they would be, but a fun shape can be exciting!
- Trader Joe’s Crackers: These are slightly sweet so kind of hard to know what to pair them with…maybe chicken salad?
- Carrot Matchsticks: Crunchy and full of vitamin A, carrots are hit or miss around here but these little matchsticks seem less intimidating.
- Avocado: Creamy and rich in healthy fats, avocado is a satisfying addition.
- Blueberries: These tiny powerhouses are loaded with antioxidants and are a favorite in our home.
- Pomegranate Seeds: A burst of flavor and nutrients, these seeds add a delightful texture.
- Leftover Chicken Gnocchi: I’ve said it before, but leftovers are my secret…well not so secret weapon. Our homemade chicken gnocchi is quick to reheat and provides protein to keep us fueled.
I hope this glimpse into our meals inspires you to explore healthy options that fit seamlessly into your busy lifestyle. Remember, it’s all about balance and making choices that work for you and your family.
Meals can be an chance to create healthy eating habits in my toddler, setting the foundation for a lifetime of wellness, but it’s important to take the pressure off meals, too!
Just know that making meals for your family is creating a lifetime of memories and habits. I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek into our daily meals and that it encourages you to find your own balance between nutrition and the hustle and bustle of life. Here’s to healthy, happy eating!
